Sacred Fools Members Meeting
June 18, 2006

Attendance:  Adam Bitterman, Paul Plunkett, Corey Klemow, Hans Gelpke, Michael Lanahan, Jenifer Hamel, Padraic Duffy, J.P. Karlia, Kristine Dickson, Lou Burnstein, Mary Guilliams and Tenaya Cleveland 

  1. 3:15p - Meeting called to order by Hans, who announced that John Mitchell expresses sincere thanks to all who helped for La Bete.  It’s open and running.
  1. Artistic Committee reported that they will announce the next season soon in the upcoming weeks. 

§         A rental will begin the season, leading into the first Sacred Fools production to open in October.

§         They are still accepting small project proposals for dark nights in Fall.

§         Call for Spring Proposals.

§         Call for feedback regarding current proposals listed on website. 

  1. Elections are next weekend for staff and new members.  Hans will be emailing this announcement. 

§         Paul suggested that we push the members only meeting, or have two meetings.

§         Members only meeting (new member induction & MemCom/SAA election) is July 23rd.

§          General meeting July 9th.

  1.  Development – Jen asks how many people shop at Ralphs?

§         The Ralphs campaign has already raised $400. 

§         Discussed possibility for a myspace campaign and house manager campaign.

§         Escrip – www.escrip.com is going to be a harder sell, because you need to register. 

§         Call for volunteers to aid in development of corporate sponsorship. 

 

  1. Show Reports

§         Le Bete- Hans reports that we need to fill the houses.

§         Bukowsical will end July 21st. Michael reports that the show opened to a great house and many thanks to all continued support.  Ticket price is raised from $10 to $15.

§         Serial Killers – Hans reports we sold out and then some this week.  Five weeks countdown to the big year end show.  Open call for new material.  Ten pieces will be chosen between now and July.  Office Fu will be in the final Serial Killers.  The final show will host First Annual Thursty Awards for best top episodes.   Primetime show will run for two hours.  Terry will host.  $10 dollar ticket price with online sales.  Serial Killers myspace is growing.  Liquor license is a top priority.  Henry Ditman has agreed to donate a keg of beer for the Thursty’s. Hooray Henry!

§         Ten Tops – Theme will be Picnic of Performance – open mike event.  Sign up spots are going to be available online.  Picnic foods will be served. 


6.  Motion to close - Michael reports that thanks to Matt Garland we are now in City Beat.  As well, via Hans, John Mitchell suggests that next meeting will be a barbeque.  Meeting Adjourned.
