Summary: Some shows announced, 360 needs help, Quiet Please needs a producer, discussion of website front page, and more!

MINUTES TAKEN BY KATHI COPELAND

SAA:
Andy needs 4 new people on the phone tree. This consists of calling 15-20 people twice a month and telling them about meetings, shows, strikes, builds, fundraisers... He poses the question: Do people find this effective?

Wuchte: I like my drunken phone call from Kathi
Ruth: I didn't ever receive a drunken phone call from Kathi but I found them effective
Paul agrees
Kiesche: I made my calls and I feel like I get a chance to touch base with people and talk up what is going on in the theatre
Everyone agrees they are a good thing.
Heatherlynn and CM aren't getting calls and Heatherlynn steps up and volunteers to be on the committee.
We need 3 people now.

Artistic Committee:
We have 2 new mainstage shows selected:
March-April " My Uncle Sam" by Len Jenkin directed by Joshua Moyse and a LA
Premiere
May-June  "Ivona, Princess of Burgundia" by Witold Gombrowicz, directed by Philip Wofford, also an LA premiere

There will be no Nov/Dec Mainstage; other projects TBA soon!

We have not selected a Jan-March show yet. You can still propose.

Late-Night (Nov/Dec):
Quiet, Please by Wyllis Cooper, directed by Corey Klemow
Corey is seeking producers.

Late-Night (Nov/Dec):
Fast & Loose, probably (details TBA)

Mcintyre: I just want to remind everyone that elections for AC,Literary, and SAA are coming up. They are in Dec. Please be thinking in advance about who you want programming the theatre.

House:
We need people to be working multiple shifts. We need you to just come in and leave. We have so many people in the shows and so 2 shifts is not enough. Also remember it's 18 at the door and 15 in advance (online sales). We have raised the price.

Thank you Lisa Anne for the wonderful decorations.

Dubya 2004:
There will be a Q&A on Friday night with Jenelle Riley after the show.
We need a video camera for live feed.

Laura's Bush:
We are finally cast. Of the nine of so theatres premiering this show nationally, we are the first theatre in the nation at which it will open. Please come out and see it on Sept. 24th.

Shirley Anderson is stepping in as Laura Bush with 2 weeks rehearsal. Go Shirley!

Quiet, Please:
It's an hour long show. Wyllis Cooper's writing was an influence on Rod Serling! Similar to
Twilight Zone. No royalties. It's a radio show but it's being staged. Corey needs producers.

We all read out loud the handout Kiesche has prepared.360 Needs Help.

Publicity:
Kiesche: Please get press matierals to Phil as early as possible. When you do he does a great job. He already has press releases out for 360.

Press is coming Tues. and Weds for Spam Scam. And Sat. for F&L

We had 4 critics for Dubya 2004

CitiyBeat is interviewing Dean.

New Business:

Becky: Why don't we take Crime Scene off the front page of the website? It's so prominent and it's not one of our shows now.
McIntyre: I agree. It should be in some archive.
Corey: Brad's argument has been that Crime Scene and Listen to This have entertainment content (music, audio, videos, etc) and therefore make the website more enticing and fun for outsiders.  It's not my place to change the site unless Brad gives his okay, or the MD tells me to do it.
Wuchte: I am going to play devil's advocate and say that it was one of our shows so it should stay.  It's up on the top and not prominent.
Becky: I have been here for a year and I never saw it and I don't think it should be up there. You can't go and find all the old shows as easily as you can Crime Scene.
Aaron: I think it should be there but all the shows should be there. You should be able to find every show we have ever done.
Mcintyte: I propose we get the webmaster to change the website.
Andy: You can't make a proposal unless it is in writing
Wuchte: That discussion needs to take place between the MD and Online

Discussion ensues...

Heather: I'd like to adjourn the meeting since Adam and Brad have to talk before any decision is made
Vote: 1/2 and 1/2
Kiesche: I just want to make sure everyone is heard
Eric: I don't see the problem. Why can't it be moved? That entire bar with music night and Crime Scene and old stuff needs to be updated and moved. Everyone pretty much agrees we need to have archives for ALL shows. All late nights, all mainstages, all music nights, etc.

Kiesche then moves to adjourn
I second it.
