So far this year, BOD has raised or donated approx. $7,500.

BBQ raised approx $2,500.

Future fundraising…Inviting to 360. December 5th at Jim Tosney’s home. Possible fashion show (Ina Burke heading up), and Limo Scavenger Singles Hunt around Valentine’s Day.

Wuchte – asked about front doors fixing or replacing or securing… asked about noise from neighbors and hanging around outside in the parking lot.

B. Clark – working on this legally.

Wuchte – asked about marketing shows that are extending.

Huge discussion followed. But really comes down for a need for marketing person.

McIntyre – Not just ideas of marketing but implementing.

B. Friedman – No marketing mngr… No tech director… need these positions filled. Plus would like to have addresses of board members available to members of SF. Also asked about TAXES.

Sylvain ANSWERS – Will consider people to put in position of Marketing manager. Will work with MD on Doors issue. Though more an Adam thing… TAXES most likely will be done in 10 days. But he’s not the go to guy on that answer. Taxes being done by an accountant in Long Beach, who will throw us to the Mercy of the TAX MAN. Will make BOD contact info available to members of SF.

A. Allen – Suggested that BOD become more involved in OPENING NIGHTS. Something special with OPENINGS. And the BOD being visible at SF. Small reception to bring more awareness and money to SF.

Mullen – Asked about how SF was avoiding TAX fees.

Sylvain ANSWERS- with a probably answer. Not really sure. We hope.

ARTISTIC COMMITTEE

No set cast. From 11 to 50 actors. Looking for collaborators. Auditions in December (McIntyre producing auditions).

Designers set. Need Stage Manager.

AC looking for lead producer for MY UNCLE SAM.

MANAGING DIRECTOR
All shows are critically praised. Averaging 1,000 a week. Over $100 in ticket sales a day… But need more people coming out… Averaging 30 people a show.

Most coming from word of mouth, or friends, or LA weekly review. Not so many from the Times Critic’s Choice.

Discussion about group rates.

Bitterman – If a group calls in advance, a group rate can be worked out. Plenty of other discount ways to buy.

B. Friedman – Asks about postcards verses print ads.

Discussion follows.

Though nothing can be proven about receipts, and only 4 people said they were influenced by the ads. Several people thought the exposure in the papers were worth it.

Bitterman – Cost is so much higher than postcards and mailings.
