The locally acclaimed Crime Scene,
begun in 1998, is LA's longest running serial play. The
Sacred Fools Theater Company cranks out a new script
every week in this uproarious murder mystery spoof. With
a cast of more than 50 actors and at least three
storylines going at all times, these wacky folks lampoon
everything from Dr. Seuss to the Iron Chef. The show
makes a great dessert to the company's main stage
productions or a wonderful late-night destination on its
own. If you'd like to catch up on all the action before
you see the next show, check out "Case Files" on the
theater company's website. You'll learn who's who and
what's what. This is a wildly creative bunch with a
wicked sense of humor and a willingness to do almost
anything to get a laugh. If you're feeling bogged down
by "serious theater," get thee to Crime Scene.
