Being able to showcase a piece I wrote allowed me to later film the same piece and enter it into competitions.

Theatre opened the door to the professional world allowing me to play my dream role. This lead to earning my Actors Equity
status and getting to travel the world. I have Riverside Rep, Musical Theatre West, and McCoy Rigby Entertainment to thank for believing in me.
Intimate theater introduced me to playing Title Characters in traditionally all white cast plays. Opened my eyes to not only a chance at “what could be” but “what should be”.
Getting my first agent, my current manager, every TV & film appearance, even my session singing career: all were the direct result of my involvement in intimate theatre.
Live theater has benefited my career by giving me a solid foundation of the basics that transcend into the film world. It has allowed me to work on all sides of a production, making me more self sufficient in this industry.
I’m an LA-based BIPOC artist who’s been acting, singing, dancing, choreographing, composing, teaching & playwrighting here thanks to intimate theatre!
Theatre landed me my 1st lead role in a feature film, gave me my zest for acting, and keeps me theatrically fit to perform on screen w/ more consistent opportunities for bigger, more challenging roles.
Intimate theater has not only helped me grow as a performer but also as an individual. It helped grow my confidence because I felt like I was finally being seen and not just the token black girl for another show.
Local live theater gave me my first agent in Los Angeles and helped me find my voice as an actor of color. I took on roles that expanded my emotional range and prepared me for any audition.
Intimate Theater gave me a proving ground to hone my craft and was a supportive community for me to fail and succeed as a young artist. I would never have gotten that without places like @SacredFoolsLA and @TheatreOfNOTE. Now sky’s the limit.
Intimate theater is what helped me find my voice as a non-binary artist.
