CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
The Cast
(PLAYS ALL ROLES!) - MALE OR FEMALE / 25 TO 75
The entire cast of 5-7 actors, male and female, plays multiple roles
in the melting-pot history of America, so all types are encouraged to
audition. The ability to transform (voice & body) quickly from one
character to the next is a must, as well as the ability to perform
narration with urgency and clarity.
While an occasional moment of mimicry may occur, technically accurate
impressions of past presidents are less important than seeing human
beings undergoing trying (or not so trying) times. We’re looking for
strong, versatile actors above all else.
This is a very demanding show, both physically and vocally, with very
little down time for any actors. Actors who submit should be imaginative
and fearless, with strong theatre training. Physical theatre training is
always a big plus. |
