Aldrich Allen (Shamreyev)
Aldrich is a Sacred Fools company member. Since joining the Fools in May of '97, Aldrich has acted In countless CRIME SCENE episodes.   On the mainstage, Aldrich was the evil dragon, Sylvan Eisler in the World premiere of THE FICTIONIST. Aldrich has also directed a bunch of one-acts at the Heliotrope, and he produced Peter Coca's one-man show, ME AND EDDY SWAMI NERUP AND OTHER OBITUARIES, in addition to co-producing TEN TOPS. Aldrich has operated sound for Kronis and Alger's CORNOGRAPHY. and Paul Plunkett's THE SWINE SHOW. He's done lights for MASQUE OF POE, and was assistant stage manager for WANTS UNWISHED WORK. Aldrich is thankful for all the opportunities he has been afforded as a member of the company.

Jenifer Hamel (Nina)
SEAGULL is Jenifer's third mainstage with Sacred Fools. Perhaps you saw her in THE SWINE SHOW or CATCHING HELL. Jenifer has studied with Mark Jenkins in Seattle and at Circle in the Square in NYC. Some of her favorite roles include Margarite Ida in DR. FAUSTUS LIGHTS THE LIGHTS, Candy in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCK00'S NEST. Irma in CHEKHOVS SISTERS, and the Daughter in SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR. Jenifer was a founding member of Theater Under the Influence in Seattle, where she wrote, directed arid acted. Currently, she adores performing in CRIME SCENE, writing sketch comedy and co-hosting TEN TOPS.

Jay Harik (Sorin)
has been a member of the Sacred Fools Theater Co. since he arrived here from Chicago around two years ago. He received his training in Chicago at: The Second City Training Center, The Steven Ivcich Studio, Center Theater, The Actor Center, Improv Olympia and Annoyance Theater. His Chicago & LA credits include: CATCHING HELL, THE CONDUCT OF LIFE, A MAN WITH CONNECTIONS, JOINED AT THE HEAD, LAPIN LAPIN, MOON UNDER MIAMI, MACHIAVELLI SLEPT HERE, STILL LIFE WITH WATERMELON, PENGUIN BLUES, THE ADVENTURES OF REX DANGER, NEW WAVE, ENTER LAUGHING… and others. He also appeared on TV as Sal on "Frasier", Dov on "Nash Bridges", Anise on "Sabrina The Teenage Witch", Rajiv on "Boy Meets World", Hank on "Early Edition" and as Arthur on ABC’s "Missing persons". Some of Jay’s recent film credits include: "2Degrees", "Suicide The Comedy", "Fiona’s Fortune", "The Auteur Theory" and "The Prodigy".

Chad Kukahiko (Treplev)
A native of Hawaii and Boston University graduate. Chad has written and produced two of his own plays and performed in tons of works by others, including two years with STOMP! and the indie film NOCTURNE which wrapped late April. He is also currently working with Kyle Puccia on an innovative new piece currently titled THE pK PROJECT which will go up in the fall, and Just now beginning the groundwork for a theatrical adaptation of Michael Ondaatje's THE COLLECTED WORKS OF BILLY THE KID. Chad sends his love to his family. his rock-n-rollin' teacher -- Gary Imhoff, Poochey and The Crystal Palace.

Peter Mattsson (Medvedenko)
Peter hails from the East Coast where he trained and performed in NYC, Montreal, and North Carolina He is absolutely thrilled with the artistic energy of the Sacred Fools and their merit within the LA theater community Tina Kronis and Richard Alger have brought a unique and modern eye to Chekhov (and Sacred Fools), and Peter is very grateful to be a part of SEAGULL. Many thanks to the Sacred Fools. Tina, Richard, fellow cast, family, and you.

Linda Miller (Polina)
Linda has graced the stage of the Sacred Fools in numerous CRIME SCENE episodes as well as the mainstage in PREYING ON PURITANS. Other LA theaters you may have seen Linda include Circle X, South Coast Rep, and West Coast Ensemble... though she likes to call Sacred Fools her home.

Michelle Philippe (Arkadina)
Michelle arrived in Los Angeles from her native town, Seattle, two years ago. She made tier LA stage debut with the Sacred Fools in NICHOLAS DE BEAUBIAN'S HUNCHBACK OF NORTRE DAME In the role of Esmeralda for which she won a DramaLogue award. She has been with the Fools since. Michelle studied theatre In Seattle and New York and earned her degree at The Evergreen State College in the moody Northwest. The SEAGULL is her second project with the Kronis - Alger team following CHEKHOV'S SISTERS, a deconstruction piece based in movement.

Paul Plunkett (Trigorin)
In addition to serving on the Sacred Fools Artistic Committee, Paul has been a producer, writer, actor and director for CRIME SCENE, Sacred Fools’ late-night serial. As a playwright, Paul has had plays (including SCAM AMERICA, THE SWINE SHOW, BITE THE WAX TADPOLE and ENGENDERED SPECIES) produced in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle and his home town of Albuquerque, New Mexico. His play CATCHING HELL was Sacred Fools’ first World Premiere in 1997.  Directing credits include EQUUS, THE ACTOR’S NIGHTMARE and GRANDMA, 82 GIVES BIRTH TO DEVIL CULT. As an actor, some of Paul’s favorite roles have included The Professor in THE LESSON, Ronnie in HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES and Rosencrantz in ROSENCRANTZ &GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD.

David Rodwin (Dr. Dorn)
is a Writer/Composer/Performer/Choreographer. David is extremely excited that this is the first time in 6 years he's performing in a work he didn't create. He premiered virtual motion , his one-man "hyper-opera", in August 1998 at Sacred Fools. virtual motion has now been presented by HERE (NYC), Nautilus (St. Paul), Highways (LA), Dixon Place (NYC), NewOp7 (Amsterdam) and at the Burning Man Festival. Look for a benefit performance of virtual motion this fall. David's 5th major music theatre work (this time with an enormous cast) - WARNING!: eXplicit Material (A Gen-X Muppet Movie in Reverse) will premiere next Spring in LA. Shirley Roeca (Masha)
Shirley, originally from NYC, is very proud to be making her second appearance with the Sacred Fools Theater Company. She has been a veteran of the professional stage for the past six years in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles: has worked opposite such talent as Kathleen Widdoes and Olympia Dukakis, and received her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater's Advanced Training Program in May of 1998. She would like to thank Joe for giving her a permanent smile and Ashley for Just being him.
