Writers' Prompt for March 19: ESTABLISH JUSTICE

A CALL TO ACTION from WE THE PEOPLE!

Feeling frustrated or helpless with the state of the country? Want to use your voice and create a ruckus? Been out of sorts and just need to be heard?

WE'VE GOT A PLACE FOR YOU!

Writers, Singer/Musicians, Clowns/Puppeteers. All performance Artists - we are seeking submissions for our next performance 8PM THURSDAY MARCH 19TH at the Broadwater in Hollywood.

This monthly theatre action is a curated staged reading series of new works theatrically exploring, sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly, and everything in between, the social and political concerns facing our country today. We The People: Where artists and audiences come together to Resist, Persist, and Express It. To find hope, unity, and to take action. Every other month, artists will receive a prompt and a deadline. The short pieces will then be curated into a night of theatre. As part of the performance series, all proceeds will go to a related non-profit.

GET INVOLVED and USE YOUR VOICE. We want YOU to speak out and share with us your stories. Write a short play, a poem, song, or whatever inspired by the prompt below as you interpret it today and submit it to us.

GUIDELINES FOR THIS PERFORMANCE:

- PIECES MUST BE BRAND NEW AND MUST BE BORN FROM THE PROMPT
- 3-5 MINUTES LONG
- PIECES CAN NOT BE PART OF A LARGER PIECE
- TRUMP CAN NOT BE A CHARACTER IN THE PIECE... Sorry, we're just not ready to see him on stage
