ABOUT THE SHOW: We know the three sisters who wanted to get to Moscow. These three sisters don't even know what Moscow is. Their lives have imploded and now they're thrust under one roof together again. Will they make it through the move in? Can vodka go bad? Will there ever be cake?
There's no place like home... to make you wanna kill somebody!
THE SISTERS:
EMILY - female, somewhere in her 30s, open ethnicity - The oldest. A mediocre writer with a failing marriage. Emily feels it is her personal duty to the world to convince others she does not need them. Mistaking independence for strength, she often assumes the role of one in charge, but when she is by herself she is very small and very alone.
ROSE - female, late 20s-early 30s, open ethnicity - The middle. A first grade teacher with an overactive maternal instinct. The one who found their father after he died, Rose frantically reaches for optimism at all costs, afraid of what will happen if she taps into what she's actually feeling. Rose feels it is her responsibility to hold the family together. She really believes in the healing power of baking.
CLARA - female, somewhere in her 20s, open ethnicity - The youngest. A free spirit trying to escape her life. Clara tries to solve all her problems by running way. Unfortunately, she's not very good at it. Recovering from a failed suicide attempt, Clara now lives in her own personal hell in which she doesn't quite want to die, but doesn't quite want live. At least she knows she doesn't want to be trapped in a horrible smelly apartment with her weird sisters.
*Prepare the sides for the sister that resonates with you.
THE OTHERS:
CLIFF - male, 40s, open ethnicity - A man who should be wearing a suit but has to deliver pizza instead. Fired from his previous (and much better) job, all Cliff wants to do make enough money to pay his bills and go home. Tries to make the best out of a bad situation.
JIMBO - male, late 20s/early 30s - Despite the rumors, he's NOT in the Irish Mafia. Clara's shady boyfriend/ex-boyfriend, Jimbo is a loud, flashy, and smarter than he looks. The type of person who's used to getting what he wants at all costs.
First call: For the role of the Sisters, please choose and prepare ONE of the 1st call sides that resonates with you. The 1st-call sides are provided for the roles of Cliff and Jimbo.
