The Sacred Fools Spotlight Series is a specially curated selection of performers and productions from across the country and around the globe that Sacred Fools believes illuminate our shared core values of heart, showmanship, and dedication to craft.

The Spotlight series was initiated in 2010.  Although Sacred Fools is a member-driven company dedicated to creating original works and other member-driven projects, the Spotlight series provides a venue for the Fools to bring in artists we like from outside the company, and co-produce their shows under the Sacred Fools banner alongside our own productions.

Artists involved with the Spotlight series include old friends and new.  Alexandra Billings of Chicago's famed Steppenwolf Theater Company, who had previously performed at Sacred Fools as Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, shared her hilarious improvisatory talk show, Katie's Corner: Live!, based on the character she created for YouTube.  Fred Blanco's critically-acclaimed Fringe show The Stories of Cesar Chavez enjoyed two runs on our stage.  When the Spotlight brought us Jeremy Aluma's Four Clowns, it also bought us a new director - Mr. Aluma directed Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake), Sacred Fools' final mainstage show of 2011 - and a new Sacred Fools company member, Four Clowns ensemble member Amir Levi.  And now, Eric Davis bring his critically acclaimed Red Bastard to Sacred Fools.
