It's been 13 years since the events of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and it has been anything but marital bliss for the two couples, Hermia/Lysanser and Helena/Demetrius. Overrun with secrets, infidelity, and bitterness, it seems the only person who still loves like he did when they were younger is Demetrius, who unknowingly still bears love's spell bestowed upon him by the faeries.

Meanwhile, the mortal changeling boy taken by Titania and Oberon to the faerie realm in A Midsummer Night's Dream has grown into an angry outcast living in the woods, dreaming of a mortal life and finally getting all that's owed to him. Both the mortal world and the faerie will be thrown into chaos as these characters collide, secrets will be exposed, and a blood-thirsty beast will be unleashed upon the people of Athens.

From Michael Shaw Fisher, the 2023 Drama Critic Circle winning writer/composer of Exorcistic, comes this staged reading of his original new musical, which uses pop, hip-hop, rock, and classical musical theatre styles to create a sequel we've been waiting 400 years for. Come join Sacred Fools for this limited staged reading event directed by Scott Leggett, choreographed by Camal Pugh, and musical directed by Anthony Lucca. Join us on the threshold of this new musical's great adventure - we promise, with an adaptation this wild, anything can happen!

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can, but please consider giving more to help Sacred Fools with future productions!
