Shellfish Constable

Summary: The tale of the Shellfish Constable, a metaphysical detective in Cape Cod - also narrated by Jerry, a writer home came home from Los Angeles to take care of his ailing mother, Fiona. The Shellfish Constable is the latest of a long line of Shellfish Contsables going back generations; ostensibly, he checks the beaches for old traps and such - but it really goes much deeper than that. After a tip from Bulgarian deli worker Anya - who enjoys the haikus of Gavin McCloud, who entertains at her workplace, Cap'n Perry's Come On Inne - the Shellfish Constable and Jerry soon learn that something terrible is afoot... someone is turning old ladies into chum.
