SUMMARY:  The police are called in to find the missing Max, as we learn that Max and Maxine's parents are having affairs with each other. Maxine's parents aren't concerned that she's missing, too - "she did 4H." Meanwhile, Maxine finds herself followed by another monster, and encounters a woman who believes herself to have been cursed to hideousness by her sister. She breaks the "curse" with a mirror, angering the sister, who curses Maxine with loneliness. Elsewhere, Max meets his true kidnapper, the dreaded Hroth, who tells Max that he's destined to rule mankind. Hroth sends the Monster to keep Maxine away from Max. Elsewhere, Max and Maxine's teacher, Mr. Teller, joins Officer Hyde in investigating the tunnels under an old grocery store.

Mr. Teller (Jay Garrett) and Officer Hyde (Monica Greene) comfort Max's parents. Another Monster (Gregory Guy Gorden) is following Maxine. A woman (Alyssa Preston) believes she's been cursed to be hideous. Heralding the dreaded Hroth (Darret Sanders).

Maxine encounters a pair of sisters who teach her a thing or
two about curses and loneliness... but perhaps not enough.
