SUMMARY: Caroline's father has passed away.
They were very close - but her self-absorbed older brother and
sister dominate the funeral arrangements while also
demonstrating that they couldn't care less about their father or
Caroline. Caroline laments how invisible she feels... and
then she meets a man, a janitor at the funeral home, who feels
the same way. They connect for a moment... and then her
brother and sister interrupt and he seems to dissapear. |

|
SUMMARY: Desperate to see the janitor again,
Caroline searches the funeral home... and deliberately makes a
mess, including dumping the body of the husband of a
more-aggrieved-than-grieving widow onto the floor. Both
Caroline and the janitor confide in one another that they both
feel invisible. Caroline's siblings once again arrive and
ruin the moment, and the janitor disappears again... but this
time, Caroline has a rose he gave her to confirm she's not
imagining him. |
